Coffee Machines

The amendment to the Regulation on standby requirements entered into force in 2013. These requirements include power management functions for domestic coffee machines.

From 1st January 2015, the delay time after which different coffee machine technologies should go into standby and off modes are regulated.

There is no EU energy label for coffee machines. However, Switzerland has had a voluntary energy label for coffee machines since 2009. The use of this energy label became mandatory in Switzerland since 1st August 2014 and is regulated by the Energy Ordinance RO 2014 2193.This energy ordinance is currently under revision.
