Sanne Goossens is CECED’s Smart Living and Competitiveness Policy Manager. She joined CECED in October 2012.
Sanne covers international trade issues (trade defence, trade agreements, market access, customs issues, etc.), product safety, market surveillance, and market research for large and small appliances.
She is also involved in product information, like the “PI Certified” project.
Before joining CECED, Sanne was a trainee at the Directorate General for the Presidency at the European Parliament and a Junior Trade Officer at the Economic Department of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York.
Sanne holds a Master of Arts Degree in American Studies from the Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands), specializing in international and Trans-Atlantic Relations and Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from the Nijmegen School of Management, specializing in international good governance. She also studied at the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences of the University of Iowa (USA), on the Stanley Undergraduate Scholarship for European Exchange Students.
A Dutch national, Sanne speaks English and German fluently. She also has a reasonable grasp of French.
