Applicability of RED to radio transmission modules mounted on household appliances – additional analysis and contribution from CECED

CECED confirms its view, that after the integration of a radio module in a domestic appliance the main (non-radio) functions of the appliance shall be evaluated according to the existing EMC product standards, as listed under the EMC Directive and the assessment procedure to show compliance with the essential requirements in all applicable di-rectives shall be as easy as possible.
