Vacuum Cleaners

Practical everyday tips

  • Vacuum cleaners should be maintained as described in the manufacturer’s direction for use. Bags, filters and dust containers should be cleaned when indicated or prescribed. Various types of indications are used: from simple printings to actual electronics using lights. When nothing is present and nothing is described in a direction for use, the consumer must check and clean the system whenever the cleaning performance goes down significantly.
  • Don't rush when vacuuming. The slower the nozzle is passed over the carpet, the more dirt it will suck up.

Tips when buying

  • Various manufacturers offer appliances particularly designed for people allergic to dust. These vacuum cleaners offer high filtration efficiencies by using high quality filters combined with well-designed internal seals.

The EU energy label will have to be available for every vacuum cleaner placed on the market from 1st September 2014. There are three labels possible, one for general purpose vacuum cleaners, one for hard floor vacuum cleaners and one for carpet vacuum cleaners. The information available on the energy label can be found on this website.
