In addition to the well-established panel on sell-in data for large domestic appliances, CECED is in the process of setting up a sell-in panel that covers small domestic appliances.
Like in the large appliances panel, the data collection of sell-in for small appliances is done via an independent notary. Currently, the working group on market research for small appliances is discussing which product groups would need to be included in the panel. The geographical coverage will be the same as for the data collection of the large appliances: 28 European countries and regions including Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey. Data will be collected on a quarterly basis and distributed to the working group members for their internal analysis.
The new working group for small appliances is set to meet for the first time in June 2014, with the aim of starting the actual collection of data by January 2015.
