Dishwashers
The ecodesign Regulation on dishwashers was published in 2010. The first requirements entered into force in December 2011.
Together with this Commission regulation was published the energy label Regulation 1059/2010 for dishwashers. It requires that an energy label is made available for every appliance sold in the European Union from December 2011 on. This Delegated Regulation repeals Directive 97/17/EC.
In accordance with Art. 7 of these regulations, the Commission launched in 2014 a prepartory study to re-assess the ecodesign requirements and the energy labelling. This study is still ongoing and is being carried out by the Joint Research Center.
