Water Heaters

Ecodesign and energy labelling regulations for water heaters and hot water storage tanks were published in 2013.

The first tier of ecodesign requirements as well as the energy labelling regulation entered into force on 26th September 2015. 

In January 2016, the Commission, in accordance with Article 7 of the Ecodesign regulation, launched a preparatory study to assess the appropriateness of setting separate ecodesign requirements for different types of water heaters. The preparatory study is conducted by VHK and should last until mid-2016.
