Local Heaters

The energy labelling and ecodesign regulations for local space heaters were both published on 21 July 2015. From 1 January 2018, local space heaters will have to comply with the ecodesign requirements set in regulation 2015/1188. 

The energy label will apply from 1 January 2018 for local space heaters that are not flueless heaters using solid fuels or open to chimney heaters using solid fuels and will apply from 1 January 2022 for flueless heaters using solid fuels and open to chimney heaters using solid fuels.
